Put Yourself in a Position of Power

Use our handy Build vs. Buy Calculator to work out how much you could save with Oracle Database Appliance.

Knowledge = Power

This calculator pitches our Oracle Database Appliance X6-2 portfolio against comparable build-it-yourself white box infrastructure. To start, just select the Oracle Database Appliance that’s right for you.

We’ve also included the most popular software add-ons for the high-availability model. Simply choose the ones you want and click the button.

Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC)

Oracle RAC enables Oracle Database to run across a cluster of servers, providing fault tolerance, performance, and scalability with no application changes necessary. Effectively, Oracle RAC provides high availability for applications by removing the single point of failure with a single server.

RAC One Node 12c

RAC One Node 12c is the best-in-class Oracle Database failover solution. Not only does it bring multiple databases together, it also includes Online Database Relocation, which allows databases to be relocated from one server to another in instances of planned or unplanned downtime, with no disruption to service.

Partitioning enhances the manageability, performance, and availability for a wide variety of applications. It allows tables, indexes, and index-organized tables to be subdivided into smaller pieces, enabling these database objects to be managed and accessed in precise detail.

Advanced Security (ASO) and Transparent Data Encryption (TDE)

ASO helps customers address regulatory compliance requirements by protecting sensitive data on the network, on storage media, and within the database, from unauthorized disclosure. As a major component of ASO, TDE provides the industry’s most advanced database encryption solution for protecting sensitive information without requiring changes to applications.

Enterprise Manager (EM) Diagnostic and Tuning Packs

Together, these database management solutions provide a cost-effective and easy-to-use solution that monitors database operations in real time and automates the entire application tuning process.
